About the role

Northbay Systems is launching a sprint to accelerate releases through CI/CD and platform automation. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and refine the infrastructure pipelines that power rapid delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and codify AWS environments using Terraform modules
• Integrate Terraform workflows into existing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Automate provisioning of compute, networking, and security resources for sprint workloads
• Collaborate with developers to embed infrastructure checks into pull‑request validation
• Document state management practices and ensure version‑controlled state files

Must-have skills

• Strong experience writing reusable Terraform code for AWS
• Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipeline tooling
• Proficiency in DevOps best practices, including IaC testing and linting
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure drift and resolve state conflicts

Nice to have

• Experience with Terragrunt or Terraform Cloud
• Familiarity with container orchestration (EKS, ECS)
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting integrations (CloudWatch, Prometheus)
