About the role

Cascade Apps is modernizing its test automation framework to cut regression risk before launch. We need a Microservices Architect to design a scalable, container‑native backend that drives test orchestration and results reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Define microservice boundaries for test execution, data aggregation, and reporting
• Design and implement Docker‑based services orchestrated with Kubernetes
• Integrate Java‑based test runners and CI pipelines
• Establish API contracts and versioning for internal tooling
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for the engineering team

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice architectures
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Strong Java development background
• Understanding of test automation frameworks and CI/CD

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Knowledge of contract testing (PACT, OpenAPI)
