About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a suite of Android apps and needs a focused Android Developer to elevate test automation. Your work will directly reduce regression risk before each release, ensuring a smooth launch experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust UI and unit test suites using Kotlin and Java
• Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines for fast feedback
• Identify flaky tests, refactor code, and improve coverage metrics
• Collaborate with product and QA teams to prioritize high‑risk scenarios
• Document test frameworks and share best practices across the dev group

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android
• Hands‑on experience with Espresso, UI Automator, or Robolectric
• Familiarity with Gradle, Git, and CI/CD tools
• Ability to write clear, maintainable test code

Nice to have

• Experience with Firebase Test Lab or similar cloud testing platforms
• Knowledge of performance testing and profiling tools
• Background in behavior‑driven development (BDD) frameworks
