About the role

Vertex Analytics is enhancing its operations data pipeline. We need a Cybersecurity Analyst to embed security controls and monitoring into the analytics workflow, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security checkpoints within ETL processes
• Develop automated detection rules for anomalous data flows
• Conduct threat modeling for pipeline components and recommend mitigations
• Collaborate with data engineers to harden Linux-based ingestion servers
• Document security architecture and provide knowledge transfer to ops teams

Must-have skills

• Hands‑on experience securing data pipelines and analytics platforms
• Proficiency in Python for scripting security checks
• Strong Linux system hardening and monitoring expertise
• Understanding of network segmentation and encryption in transit

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud‑native security services (e.g., AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel)
• Experience with SIEM integration for real‑time alerts
