About the role

Cascade Apps is enhancing its data pipeline and analytics platform for operations teams. We need a Cybersecurity Analyst to embed security controls, monitor threats, and ensure compliance across the end‑to‑end flow of data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security monitoring for real‑time data pipelines.
• Conduct risk assessments on data ingestion, transformation, and storage layers.
• Develop automated alerts and response playbooks for anomalous activity.
• Collaborate with data engineers to harden APIs and micro‑services.
• Document security policies and produce compliance reports for stakeholders.

Must-have skills

• Strong understanding of network and cloud security fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting security checks and automations.
• Hands‑on experience securing Linux‑based environments.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and incident response workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with data lake or warehouse security.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations.
• Background in threat modeling for analytics workloads.
