Cybersecurity Analyst – Security Hardening

About the role

BlueSky Ventures is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to strengthen our security posture for a critical cloud‑based project. You will work independently, conducting risk assessments, monitoring alerts, and recommending mitigations to protect sensitive data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing on web and network assets
• Analyze security logs, identify incidents, and coordinate response
• Develop and update security policies, standards, and documentation
• Collaborate with developers to embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines
• Provide clear reports and recommendations to stakeholders

Must-have skills

• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
• Hands‑on experience with vulnerability assessment tools
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation
• Solid Linux administration and command‑line expertise

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with SIEM solutions
• Certifications such as CISSP or CEH
