About the role
Ridgeline Software is launching a brand‑new greenfield SaaS product. We need a Java Developer to design and implement the core backend services that will power the platform from day one. You will work with a remote‑first, cross‑functional team focused on rapid delivery and high quality.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and develop microservice‑based APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Define data models, integrate with cloud databases, and ensure scalability
- Write unit and integration tests, enforce code standards, and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with product, UX, and DevOps to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and iterate on improvements during the launch phase
Must-have skills
- 3+ years of professional Java development
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and RESTful microservices
- Proficiency in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud‑native services
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes orchestration
- Experience with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Knowledge of security best practices for SaaS applications
