Java Developer Needed for Multi-Region JVM Performance Tuning

About the role

LumenWorks is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a Java Developer to shape the core backend services from day one. You will work with a remote‑first team, delivering clean, scalable micro‑services that power the new platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Build, test, and deploy micro‑service components in a cloud‑native environment
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into technical specs
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Must-have skills

• Strong Java programming experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency with Spring Boot and related ecosystem
• Hands‑on experience building micro‑services architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Understanding of event‑driven design and messaging queues
