Node.js Developer for Event-Driven Backend

About the role

Summit Digital is enhancing its test automation framework to cut regression risk before each launch. We need a Node.js Developer who can design, extend, and integrate automated test suites with existing CI pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Build reusable test modules in Node.js targeting UI and API layers
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins/GitHub Actions for nightly runs
• Collaborate with QA engineers to define critical regression scenarios
• Optimize test execution time and maintain flaky‑test mitigation strategies
• Document test architecture and provide knowledge‑transfer sessions

Must-have skills

• Strong NodeJS development experience
• Proficiency with Express and REST API testing
• Solid JavaScript fundamentals and async patterns
• Hands‑on experience with test frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest, Cypress)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker containers for test environments
• Experience with performance testing tools
• Knowledge of version‑control branching strategies for test code
