About the role

Cascade Apps is launching a greenfield SaaS platform called "Nimbus Hub" aimed at simplifying workflow automation for remote teams. As a Node.js Developer you will build core backend services from scratch, shaping the product architecture and delivery pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement micro‑service APIs using Express.js and TypeScript.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated testing and deployment.
• Integrate MongoDB Atlas clusters, define schema, and optimize queries for high‑throughput data sync.
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest, achieving 80%+ coverage before each sprint.
• Collaborate with the frontend squad to define contract‑first OpenAPI specs.
• Document service endpoints and operational runbooks in Confluence.

Must-have skills

• Strong Node.js experience (Express, TypeScript).
• Proficiency with MongoDB and data modeling.
• RESTful API design and OpenAPI specification.
• CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Docker).
• Test‑driven development using Jest or Mocha.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes basics for container orchestration.
• Experience with serverless functions on AWS Lambda.
