About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a focused sprint to tighten CI/CD pipelines and automate platform tasks for quicker, reliable releases. We need a Python Backend Developer who can design, implement, and fine‑tune automation scripts and services that integrate with our existing infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python services that orchestrate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Implement RESTful APIs to expose automation capabilities to internal tools.
• Configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines using popular tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA engineers to ensure end‑to‑end release quality.
• Write clear documentation and unit tests for all automation components.

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience, especially in backend contexts.
• Proficiency with Django or Flask for API development.
• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational data modeling.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform.
