About the role

Cascade Apps is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a QA Software Tester to design and execute tests that validate security controls, performance under attack simulations, and compliance with best‑practice hardening guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop test plans focused on authentication, encryption, and access‑control mechanisms.
• Create and run automated Selenium scripts to probe for misconfigurations and regression bugs.
• Perform manual penetration‑test style validation for critical services.
• Document defects, track remediation, and verify fixes in a CI pipeline.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to integrate security test suites into nightly builds.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience in functional and security testing of web applications.
• Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver and test automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of cloud security concepts (IAM, encryption, network segmentation).
• Ability to write clear, concise test cases and defect reports.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OWASP testing guidelines.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) for custom test utilities.
