About the role
Orbit Labs is upgrading a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a React Native Developer to lead the mobile component modernization, ensuring seamless user experience while preserving zero‑downtime operations.
Key responsibilities
- Refactor existing React Native codebase for performance and scalability
- Implement feature flags and hot‑swap mechanisms to avoid service interruptions
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate updated APIs
- Write automated tests and maintain CI pipelines for mobile builds
- Document migration steps and provide knowledge transfer to the team
Must-have skills
- Strong experience with React Native and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Proven track record delivering Android and iOS apps
- Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment strategies
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part‑time setting
Nice to have
- Familiarity with TypeScript
- Experience with Redux or MobX state management
- Knowledge of native module development
