Senior Android Developer – High-Volume System Integration

About the role

Summit Digital is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs an Android Developer to shape the mobile experience from day one. You will work with a remote‑first team, turning product concepts into a polished, high‑performance Android app.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core app features using Kotlin and modern Android architecture components.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to define APIs and data flows.
• Write unit, UI, and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery impact for a global user base.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous delivery pipelines.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Android development experience.
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM.
• Proficiency in Java for legacy module integration.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and offline data sync.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and testing skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Compose UI.
• Exposure to CI/CD for mobile (Fastlane, Bitrise).
• Understanding of SaaS product lifecycle.
