About the role
Harbor Softworks is modernizing its blockchain layer to boost performance and reliability for its flagship customer‑facing services. As a Blockchain Engineer you will lead the redesign of the core smart‑contract suite, ensuring low latency and high throughput under peak loads. This short‑term engagement focuses on delivering a resilient, production‑ready solution for the upcoming release cycle.
Key responsibilities
- Audit and refactor the existing "PulseChain" smart‑contract module to reduce gas consumption by at least 30%.
- Implement off‑chain caching strategies using Redis and Layer‑2 rollups to improve transaction finality.
- Set up automated performance testing pipelines with Hardhat, Ganache, and Locust.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate contract deployment into CI/CD using GitHub Actions and Terraform.
- Document contract interfaces and versioning strategy in OpenAPI‑compatible format.
- Deliver a post‑deployment monitoring dashboard in Grafana for real‑time health metrics.
Must-have skills
- Deep expertise in Solidity and smart‑contract architecture.
- Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript tooling (Hardhat, Truffle, ethers.js).
- Experience optimizing gas usage and implementing Layer‑2 solutions.
- Strong understanding of blockchain security best practices and audit processes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
Nice to have
- Background in Rust‑based smart contracts (e.g., Solana, NEAR).
- Experience with formal verification tools such as Certora or MythX.
