About the role

Summit Digital is launching a CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles. We need a Database Administrator who can design, implement, and fine‑tune database pipelines that integrate seamlessly with our automated deployment workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated backup, restore, and migration scripts for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Integrate database change management into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Flyway or Liquibase.
• Optimize schema and queries for fast, reliable deployments across staging and production.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to embed health checks and monitoring in release pipelines.
• Document database versioning strategy and provide knowledge transfer to the team.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
• Proven experience automating database tasks within CI/CD frameworks.
• Strong SQL scripting, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for database provisioning.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus or Datadog.
