About the role

Keystone Digital is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a Database Administrator to design, migrate, and fine‑tune data stores while guaranteeing zero‑downtime for live services.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current schema and data flow, then devise a migration plan that avoids service interruption.
• Implement high‑availability clusters for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Automate backup, restore, and failover procedures using scripting and orchestration tools.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and apply indexing or sharding strategies.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps to integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB in production environments.
• Proven experience designing zero‑downtime migrations for legacy systems.
• Strong SQL tuning, query optimization, and data modeling abilities.
• Familiarity with Linux, scripting (Bash/Python), and monitoring tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerized databases (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud‑native data services (AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB).
• Background in data security and compliance standards.
