About the role

TechFlow Inc is preparing a major app store launch that ties mobile front‑ends to a robust backend. We need a Database Administrator to ensure data stores are tuned, secure, and ready for high‑volume traffic during the rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement schema changes that support new mobile features
• Optimize query performance for PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL clusters
• Set up replication and monitoring to guarantee uptime during peak usage
• Collaborate with backend engineers to align data models with API contracts
• Conduct security reviews and apply patches without service interruption

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production
• Proven track record of performance tuning for high‑traffic mobile backends
• Strong scripting ability (Bash, Python) for automation
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and database migration tools

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud‑native databases (AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos)
• Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes) for DB services
