About the role

Silverline Labs is launching a new product and needs a Database Administrator to uplift test automation, cutting regression risk before release. You will partner with QA and DevOps to embed robust data validation and cleanup scripts into the CI pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated database test suites for PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL.
• Integrate data integrity checks into CI/CD workflows.
• Monitor and troubleshoot test failures, providing root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers to optimise schema for testability.
• Document test procedures and maintain version‑controlled scripts.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL in production.
• Proven experience building automated DB tests and data migrations.
• Strong SQL scripting and shell/Python automation skills.
• Familiarity with CI tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerised database deployments.
• Knowledge of performance tuning for large test datasets.
• Background in test‑driven development practices.
