About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a new product and needs a Database Administrator to uplift test automation. You will help reduce regression risk by ensuring reliable, repeatable database test suites and data provisioning.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated DB test scripts for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Integrate database test pipelines into CI/CD workflows.
• Create and manage synthetic data sets for regression testing.
• Monitor test results, troubleshoot failures, and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with QA and Dev teams to define test coverage criteria.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years DBA experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Testcontainers, dbt, or similar).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Experience integrating DB tests into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI platforms.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of containerized databases.
• Familiarity with data masking and compliance testing.
• Experience with performance tuning for large test datasets.
