About the role
Northbay Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a DevOps Engineer who can blend infrastructure automation with security best practices to protect our services.
Key responsibilities
- Audit existing CI/CD pipelines and identify security gaps
- Implement automated hardening scripts for Docker images and Kubernetes clusters
- Integrate AWS security services (GuardDuty, IAM policies) into deployment workflows
- Establish monitoring and alerting for compliance drift
- Document hardened configurations and hand over to ops team
Must-have skills
- Strong experience with DevOps automation and security tooling
- Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
- Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline creation and management
- Understanding of cloud security frameworks (CIS, NIST)
Nice to have
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Aqua)
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash
