About the role
Northbay Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Full Stack Web Developer to audit, patch, and reinforce both frontend and backend components, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in React UI and Node.js services.
- Implement secure authentication flows and role‑based access controls.
- Configure and harden MongoDB instances against injection and unauthorized access.
- Write automated tests and integrate security scans into CI pipelines.
- Document security guidelines and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Must-have skills
- Proven experience securing full‑stack applications in cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge of React, NodeJS, JavaScript, and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, JWT, OAuth, and TLS.
- Ability to write clean, testable code and perform code reviews.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes security contexts.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Previous work on compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
