About the role

NexGen Media is revamping its customer‑facing services to boost performance and reliability. We need a seasoned Java Developer to lead the backend overhaul, ensuring low latency and high availability across all APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑throughput Java services using Spring Boot
• Refactor existing microservices for scalability and fault tolerance
• Introduce performance monitoring, profiling, and automated load testing
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to integrate CI/CD pipelines
• Document architectural decisions and create migration guides

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Java development in enterprise environments
• Deep expertise with Spring Boot and RESTful microservices
• Proven track record of performance tuning and reliability engineering
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of reactive programming (Project Reactor, RxJava)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
• Background in automated testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG)
