Senior Microservices Architect for API Gateway Setup Engagement

About the role

Harbor Softworks is expanding its B2B SaaS suite with a multi‑tenant feature set. We need a Microservices Architect to design, implement, and guide the delivery of isolated, scalable services that serve multiple tenants while preserving data isolation and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define the microservice decomposition strategy for tenant‑specific features
• Architect API gateways, service discovery, and inter‑service communication patterns
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code for automated deployments
• Mentor the development team on best practices for containerization and observability
• Ensure security, resilience, and compliance across all services

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing and deploying microservices at scale
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong Java development background
• Understanding of multi‑tenant architecture and data segregation

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot and Cloud‑native patterns
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana
• Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT)
