About the role

NovaForge Tech is preparing a high‑traffic mobile app store launch. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to align the database layer with the mobile backend, ensuring performance, reliability, and seamless data sync for the upcoming release.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement schema changes to support new mobile features
• Optimize queries and indexes for low‑latency API responses
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and automated backups
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define data contracts and migration strategies
• Troubleshoot replication and scaling issues during load testing

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Strong command of performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience with replication, sharding, and high‑availability setups
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB and MySQL for cross‑database integrations
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Background in mobile backend APIs (REST/GraphQL)
