Senior Terraform Engineer for Cloud Infrastructure Program

About the role

Orbit Labs is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and validate infrastructure changes that enable zero‑downtime migrations to a cloud‑native stack.

Key responsibilities

• Architect Terraform modules for multi‑region AWS resources while preserving existing traffic flows
• Automate state management and locking to avoid conflicts during concurrent updates
• Collaborate with developers to embed IaC into CI/CD pipelines for seamless rollouts
• Conduct blue‑green and canary deployments, verifying health checks before cut‑over
• Document module usage, versioning strategy, and rollback procedures

Must-have skills

• Strong experience writing production‑grade Terraform code
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (VPC, ECS/EKS, RDS, IAM)
• Proven DevOps mindset with CI/CD automation
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment patterns

Nice to have

• Experience with Terragrunt or Terraform Cloud
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Datadog
• Background in legacy system migration projects
