Senior TypeScript Full Stack Developer Needed for Product Launch Build

About the role

Orbit Labs is modernizing its customer‑facing platform with a focus on performance and reliability. As a TypeScript Full Stack Developer you will lead the overhaul of the "Orbit Pulse" module, ensuring low latency and high availability for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor the existing NodeJS services to use async/await patterns and improve response times by 30%.
• Implement server‑side rendering with React and Next.js for the Orbit Pulse UI to reduce First Contentful Paint.
• Design and execute a PostgreSQL indexing strategy, including partitioning for large tables.
• Set up automated load testing pipelines in k6 and integrate results into CI/CD.
• Collaborate with SREs to instrument services with OpenTelemetry and create real‑time dashboards.
• Deliver a detailed performance benchmark report after each sprint milestone.

Must-have skills

• Expertise in TypeScript, React, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience with performance profiling tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools, pg_stat_statements).
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and micro‑service architecture.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Next.js and server‑side rendering concepts.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry or similar observability stacks.
