About the role

BlueSky Ventures is modernizing its legacy production platform, codenamed "Nimbus UI", to achieve zero‑downtime releases. As a Vue.js Frontend Developer you will refactor the existing UI, introduce component‑based architecture, and ensure seamless user experience during the transition.

Key responsibilities

• Audit the current Vue 1.x codebase and create a migration plan to Vue 3 with TypeScript support.
• Develop reusable UI components using Vuetify and Tailwind CSS, adhering to the new design system.
• Implement feature flags via LaunchDarkly to enable zero‑downtime rollouts.
• Set up CI pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated linting, unit tests, and visual regression testing with Cypress.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate GraphQL endpoints and optimize data fetching strategies.
• Monitor performance metrics in New Relic and resolve front‑end bottlenecks before each release.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Vue.js (Vue 2/3) and Vuex/Pinia state management.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands‑on with component libraries such as Vuetify or Tailwind.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript in Vue projects.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and Apollo Client.
