Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and meet project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the design team to translate designs into functional WordPress websites.
• Optimize WordPress websites for speed, ensuring they load quickly and provide a seamless user experience.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues before deployment.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites are accessible across various devices and browsers.
• Utilize PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to develop custom WordPress solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, security patches, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our projects.
• Manage and maintain existing WordPress installations, including updates, backups, and security audits.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on WordPress best practices and website management.
• Participate in project planning, offering insights on technical feasibility, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure all WordPress developments meet our high standards of quality and performance.
• Document development processes, creating guides and tutorials for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and standards.
• Lead or participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio showcasing custom themes, plugins, and complex website integrations.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a deep understanding of WordPress core functions and plugin development.
• Experience with WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Beaver Builder, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and how to optimize WordPress sites for search engines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize website performance.
• Strong communication and project management skills, with experience working in agile environments.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset, comfortable with pair programming and code reviews.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of security best practices for WordPress, including common vulnerabilities and how to mitigate them.
• Certification in WordPress development or related fields is a plus.
• Experience with WordPress multisite networks and WooCommerce integration is desirable.
