About the role

Northbay Systems is extending a B2B SaaS platform with a new multi-tenant capability. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator – Multi-tenant Feature Delivery to ensure database reliability, performance, and security as the product scales across tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement schema changes to support tenant isolation
• Configure and maintain replication, backups, and point‑in‑time recovery
• Monitor performance metrics and tune queries for multi‑tenant workloads
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts or orchestration tools
• Collaborate with developers to integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Strong knowledge of multi‑tenant architecture patterns
• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as pg_stat_statements, Prometheus, or Grafana

Nice to have

• Hands‑on experience with MongoDB and MySQL
• Exposure to container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Understanding of security best practices for data segregation
