About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need an AWS Cloud Engineer to design and implement hardened configurations, automate compliance checks, and mentor the team on best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current AWS environment and identify security gaps.
• Implement IAM policies, security groups, and encryption controls.
• Automate hardening scripts using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Integrate vulnerability scanning and continuous compliance monitoring.
• Document hardened architecture and provide knowledge‑transfer sessions.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with AWS services and security features.
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration.
• Solid DevOps mindset with CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Linux system administration and scripting skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, or similar services.
• Experience with compliance frameworks (PCI‑DSS, SOC2).
• Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code tools beyond basics.
