AWS Cloud Engineer Needed for Cost Optimization

About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a new data analytics platform on AWS. We need an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and optimise core cloud services for the project.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable AWS infrastructure using EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda
• Containerise applications with Docker and manage orchestration
• Automate provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Monitor performance, ensure security best practices, and troubleshoot issues
• Collaborate with developers to integrate cloud services into the application stack

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with AWS services and architecture patterns
• Proficiency in Docker containerisation
• Solid DevOps mindset with CI/CD automation
• Linux system administration and scripting

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with serverless computing (Lambda, API Gateway)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Prometheus
