About the role

Pinecrest Systems is preparing a major app store launch and needs a Cybersecurity Analyst to align mobile and backend security controls. You will work closely with developers to embed threat modeling, secure APIs, and data protection into the release pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments for mobile and backend components
• Design and implement security controls for API authentication and encryption
• Review code and configuration for vulnerabilities using automated tools
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security checks into CI/CD
• Document findings and provide remediation guidance

Must-have skills

• Hands‑on experience with mobile security frameworks (e.g., OWASP Mobile)
• Strong knowledge of backend hardening, API security, and secure coding practices
• Proficiency in Python scripting for security automation
• Linux system administration and hardening expertise

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/GCP) for backend services
• Experience with static and dynamic analysis tools
• Security certifications such as CISSP or GSEC
