About the role

DataPro Services is launching a data migration project for a fast‑growing client. We need a Database Administrator to design, implement, and optimise database solutions while ensuring data integrity and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute migration of legacy data to PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB environments
• Monitor database health, tune performance, and resolve issues promptly
• Implement backup, recovery, and security best practices
• Collaborate with developers to optimise queries and schema design
• Document configurations and provide knowledge transfer

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB administration
• Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimisation
• Solid understanding of backup, recovery, and security procedures
• Ability to work independently on a project‑based timeline

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB)
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
