About the role
Pinecrest Systems is revamping its customer‑facing services to boost speed and uptime. We need a Node.js Developer who can refactor core modules, add robust monitoring, and optimize request handling under a part‑time schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze existing Node.js services for latency and failure points
- Rewrite critical paths using async patterns and clustering
- Implement health checks, logging, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with QA to create load‑testing scripts
- Document changes and guide junior engineers on best practices
Must-have skills
- Strong experience with NodeJS and Express
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript ES6+ and asynchronous code
- Design and maintain REST API endpoints
- Proven track record of improving service reliability
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or New Relic
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for Node.js projects
