About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. As a Prompt Engineer you will shape the prompt library for the internal "Nimbus Shield" module, ensuring AI‑driven security checks are robust and context‑aware. Your work will directly contribute to reducing attack surface across multi‑tenant environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and refine prompts for automated threat detection using LLMs in AWS SageMaker.
• Integrate prompt workflows with CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions and Terraform.
• Collaborate with security analysts to translate vulnerability findings into actionable prompt patterns.
• Benchmark prompt performance against OWASP Cloud‑Native guidelines and iterate for optimal latency.
• Document prompt versioning and rollback procedures in Confluence.
• Conduct a mid‑project review to validate prompt efficacy against simulated breach scenarios.

Must-have skills

• Proficiency in crafting LLM prompts for security contexts.
• Experience with Python scripting for prompt automation.
• Familiarity with JavaScript for front‑end integration of AI checks.
• Understanding of REST API design and authentication flows.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST).

Nice to have

• Hands‑on with LangChain or similar orchestration libraries.
• Previous work on MLOps pipelines for security tooling.
