Python Backend Developer Needed for Scalable Platform Modernization

About the role

We are launching a brand‑new SaaS product from scratch and need a Python Backend Developer to shape the core services. You will work with a remote‑first team, designing APIs, data models, and infrastructure that will power the platform from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs using Django
• Model and manage data in PostgreSQL, ensuring performance and reliability
• Write clean, test‑driven code and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to define requirements and delivery timelines
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices

Must-have skills

• Strong Python expertise with Django framework
• Proven experience building REST APIs
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational data modeling
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to have

• Experience with asynchronous programming (asyncio, Celery)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud services (AWS, GCP)
• Background in building greenfield SaaS applications
