About the role

Summit Digital is preparing an upcoming app store release that requires tight mobile/backend coordination. We need a Python Backend Developer to design and implement the server side that powers real‑time features and data sync for the mobile client.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable RESTful services using Django
• Integrate with mobile SDKs to enable push notifications and offline caching
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas for high‑read/write workloads
• Write automated tests and ensure CI coverage
• Collaborate with front‑end and mobile engineers to define API contracts

Must-have skills

• Strong Python coding experience
• Proficiency with Django and REST framework
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Experience building APIs consumed by mobile apps

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration
• Knowledge of async programming (Celery, asyncio)
• Exposure to mobile app release cycles
