About the role

Summit Digital is launching a brand‑new SaaS platform from the ground up. We need a focused REST API Developer to design and implement the core backend services that will power our product for a remote‑first team.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable RESTful endpoints using NodeJS
• Design PostgreSQL schemas and write performant queries
• Implement authentication, rate‑limiting, and error handling
• Collaborate with product and front‑end engineers to define API contracts
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL design and optimization
• Understanding of API versioning and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines for backend services
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
