About the role

Northbay Systems is launching a brand‑new SaaS product and needs an Android Developer to shape the mobile experience from day one. You will work with a remote‑first team, turning product concepts into a polished, high‑performance Android app.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core app modules using Kotlin and Java
• Integrate RESTful APIs and real‑time services
• Ensure app stability, performance, and security across devices
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend engineers in sprint cycles
• Write unit and UI tests to maintain code quality

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Android development experience
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and Jetpack libraries
• Proficiency with MVVM, Coroutines, and modern architecture patterns
• Experience publishing apps to Google Play

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Compose UI
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile
• Understanding of cloud services (Firebase, AWS)
