About the role
Summit Digital is revamping a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need an Android Developer who can redesign core modules, integrate modern libraries, and ensure zero‑downtime deployments. The work is fast‑paced, collaborative, and focused on long‑term stability.
Key responsibilities
- Refactor legacy codebases to Kotlin while preserving existing functionality
- Implement feature toggles and blue‑green releases for seamless updates
- Design and integrate a new modular architecture using MVVM and Jetpack components
- Write comprehensive unit and UI tests to guarantee reliability
- Collaborate with backend and QA teams to validate end‑to‑end flows
Must-have skills
- 5+ years of Android development experience
- Deep expertise in Kotlin and Java
- Proven track record with zero‑downtime release strategies
- Strong knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, and modern build tools
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Android
- Familiarity with cloud‑based feature flag services
- Background in performance profiling and optimization
