About the role
NexGen Media is launching a brand‑new SaaS product and needs an Android Developer to shape the mobile experience from day one. You will work with a fully remote, cross‑functional team to deliver a polished, user‑centric app that aligns with our fast‑moving roadmap.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and implement core Android modules for a greenfield codebase
- Integrate RESTful APIs, authentication flows, and real‑time features
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and offline capabilities
- Write unit and UI tests, enforce code quality, and conduct peer reviews
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to iterate quickly
Must-have skills
- 5+ years Android development experience
- Deep knowledge of Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK
- Proficiency with Jetpack Compose or XML UI frameworks
- Experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and dependency injection
- Strong debugging and profiling skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile
- Exposure to cloud services (Firebase, AWS)
- Understanding of modern SaaS product lifecycles
