About the role

Northbay Systems seeks an AWS Cloud Engineer to lead a test automation uplift aimed at cutting regression risk before product launch. You will design, implement, and fine‑tune automated test pipelines on AWS, ensuring reliable, repeatable validation of new features.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy scalable test automation frameworks using AWS services (CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Device Farm).
• Containerize test suites with Docker and orchestrate execution on ECS or EKS.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enforce quality gates.
• Collaborate with developers and QA to identify flaky tests and improve coverage.
• Monitor performance, generate metrics, and report risk insights to stakeholders.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with AWS core services and IAM security.
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration.
• Strong DevOps mindset with CI/CD pipeline expertise.
• Solid Linux administration and scripting skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python or Java test frameworks.
• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures for test execution.
