About the role

LumenWorks is enhancing a B2B SaaS product with a new multi‑tenant capability. We need a Database Administrator to design, implement, and tune the data layer that will support isolated tenant data while preserving performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Architect schema changes for multi‑tenant isolation across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Implement automated migration scripts and rollback procedures.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise query performance for high‑concurrency workloads.
• Define backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery strategies for each database engine.
• Collaborate with developers to embed data‑access patterns into the application code.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
• Deep understanding of multi‑tenant design patterns and data security.
• Proficiency with schema migration tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills for automation (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud‑native databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure Cosmos DB).
• Familiarity with containerised database deployments.
