Senior Full Stack Web Developer Needed for Platform Modernization Overhaul

About the role

Harbor Softworks is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a Full Stack Web Developer who can quickly diagnose bottlenecks, refactor code, and implement robust monitoring. The work will span both front‑end UI improvements and back‑end API optimizations.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing React components for rendering efficiency and implement lazy loading where appropriate
• Rewrite critical NodeJS endpoints to reduce latency and improve error handling
• Introduce caching strategies using MongoDB indexes and in‑memory stores
• Set up automated performance tests and CI pipelines to enforce reliability standards
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to validate improvements against real‑world traffic

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience
• Deep expertise in React, NodeJS, JavaScript, and MongoDB
• Proven track record of performance tuning large‑scale web services
• Familiarity with Docker or similar containerization for consistent deployments

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL or WebSockets for real‑time features
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Background in automated load testing tools
