About the role

Orbit Labs is building a robust data pipeline to feed analytics for operations teams. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design, implement, and optimize the API layer that connects raw data sources to downstream dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Design GraphQL schemas that reflect operational data models
• Integrate with existing REST endpoints and databases using NodeJS
• Implement resolvers with performance monitoring and caching
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure pipeline reliability
• Write unit and integration tests for API endpoints

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building GraphQL services in production
• Proficiency with NodeJS and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid understanding of REST API concepts and integration patterns
• Experience with data pipelines, streaming or batch processing

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React for front‑end consumption of GraphQL
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines
