About the role

Vertex Analytics is revamping a high‑traffic legacy production platform. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design a zero‑downtime migration path, replace outdated services, and expose modern data contracts for internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement a GraphQL gateway that coexists with existing REST endpoints
• Refactor critical data services to NodeJS while preserving live traffic
• Design schema stitching and federation strategies for seamless rollout
• Write automated tests and CI pipelines to guarantee zero‑downtime deployments
• Collaborate with DevOps to configure feature flags and blue‑green releases

Must-have skills

• 5+ years building production GraphQL APIs
• Deep knowledge of NodeJS and async patterns
• Experience integrating GraphQL with legacy REST services
• Strong understanding of zero‑downtime deployment techniques
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Apollo Server and federation
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes in CI/CD pipelines
• Background in data analytics platforms
