About the role

NexGen Media is revamping the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing services. We need a Microservices Architect to design a resilient, low‑latency architecture that can scale with traffic spikes and simplify operations.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing services and identify bottlenecks
• Design a unified microservices framework using Java, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Define API contracts, versioning strategy, and fallback mechanisms
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Set up observability stack (metrics, tracing, logging) for proactive monitoring

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice ecosystems
• Proficiency with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong Java development background
• Track record of improving latency and uptime in production

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Istio or service mesh patterns
• Experience with chaos engineering tools
• Knowledge of cloud‑native security best practices
