Senior Microservices Architect Needed for Scalable Platform Modernization

About the role

CloudWave Digital is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Microservices Architect to design resilient, secure service boundaries and guide the team through threat modeling and mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Define microservice contracts and security policies across the platform
• Implement zero‑trust networking and service‑mesh controls
• Review existing services for vulnerability exposure and recommend refactors
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security checks into CI/CD pipelines
• Document architecture decisions and provide knowledge transfer sessions

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice ecosystems
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes security best practices
• Proficiency in Java for service development and hardening
• Hands‑on experience with threat modeling and security testing

Nice to have

• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
• Experience with cloud providers' security services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Certification in cloud security or related fields
