About the role

Silverline Labs is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a MongoDB Specialist to reinforce data layer defenses, audit configurations, and implement encryption controls.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of existing MongoDB clusters across AWS and Azure.
• Design and apply role‑based access controls, audit logging, and encryption at rest.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security policies into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide remediation guidance and documentation for compliance standards.
• Perform penetration testing simulations on database endpoints.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience securing MongoDB deployments in cloud environments.
• Proficiency with encryption, TLS, and authentication mechanisms.
• Strong scripting skills for automation (JavaScript/NodeJS preferred).
• Understanding of network security, firewalls, and VPC configurations.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as MongoDB DBA or CISSP.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with container orchestration security (Kubernetes).
